# Introduction

Alright so for those that do not know me; I am archways404, but my friends like to call me Philip.

My backstory is long and kind of complicated so I won't bore you with the specifics, but I started off with the basics (html and css) at an early age, and then moved on to Java. After spending some time with Java, I realized that I wanted more, so I dug in and went with PHP (awful choice, I know).

However before I applied to college, I decided that hey, I know Java and PHP (I do not consider html or css as a regular language), so why not learn python for the broader application it allows you to do?

However the web-dev experience isn't all that great if you use python imo, so I found out about the magics of JavaScript (and TypeScript later on).

The original reason to learn to code was because it seemed like a skill I would enjoy and it felt amazing to be able to create something out of what seemed like thin air - but me being me (having a PhD in lazyness) I realized that code could not only be fun, but also help me fix problem or issues I faced!

If I didn't like to do something or felt like it was boring, bad or inefficient - then I would simply fix it by creating a program that would do it for me or simplify the process. However when I entered college I realized that not only could I save time and energy by creating these programs, but if I were to make them in the form of web-applications many more people could benefit from it!

As of writing this introduction I am currently working on a project "PrimuLaLa" (temp name) which will take my university closer to the modern digital age and bring both a better, cleaner and modern UI, but also more functionality in order to save time and improve the experience for employees at MAU.
